Bradley Cooper in Discussions to Star in GREEN LANTERN — Will he wear the power ring and hate the color yellow?

Bradley Cooper is becoming fairly ubiquitous. After having a solid supporting role on a few seasons of “Alias” and headline Fox’s failed television adaptation of Anthony Bourdain’s “Kitchen Confidential”, Cooper has made sure to stay on movie screens with supporting roles in “Yes Man”, “He’s Just Not That Into You”, and this summer’s “The Hangover”. Now Drew over at HitFix is saying that Cooper is on the short-list to star in Martin Campbell’s adaptation of DC Comics’ “Green Lantern”.

Drew makes sure to note that this isn’t a wish-list or taking-a-meeting type non-sense but that solid sources are telling him that Cooper is the one to bet on for taking this movie. It’s a sensible choice. My only concern is if Cooper can be charismatic enough. Heroes, unless they’re Batman, have to be likable. …
