John Mayberry Jr. Hits his first home run in Yankee Stadium

— The Philadelphia Phillies have called up first baseman John Mayberry Jr. from the Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

John Mayberry Jr., the son of former major league baseball player John Mayberry made his major league debut today at Yankee Stadium.  During his second at bat, he hit a three run home run.

He gets to keep his first home run ball because the Yankee fan who caught it threw it back on the field.  Our source at the game says he is very excited to be holding his debut home run ball in his hand.

The 25-year-old, who is hitting .277 with eight homers and 25 RBIs in his first 37 games, is playing right field for the Phillies.
