Cam Gigandet Goes Back to Vampire for PRIEST

Despite beating the shit out of a bunch of “Twilight” fangirls, it looks like Cam Gigandet can’t get the taste of blood out of his mouth because according to THR he’s signing on to play a part-vampire part in Scott Stewart’s upcoming horror Western, “Priest”.

Adapted by Cory Goodman from a TokyoPop comic book, “Priest” is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires and follows a warrior priest (played by Paul Bettany) who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.  I think I mentioned this when I first reported on this film, but why would the church be against him tracking down his niece and saving her from a murderous band of vampires?  Does the Church have a list of things Jesus wouldn’t do and at #97 is “Save Niece from M…
