Kristen Stewart Shows Off Her New (Joan) Jett Black Hair

Kristen Stewart, of Twilight fame, is taking a break from filming The Twilight Saga: New Moon which is still in production for a November ‘09 release to film scenes for another new movie that she is working on. Kristen will portray the legendary rocker Joan Jett in the new biopic The Runaways and was spotted yesterday trying to cover up her newly dyed hair as she left a studio here in SoCal:
Incidentally, Kristen’s New Moon co-star Dakota Fanning (she plays Jane of the Volturi in the film) also stars in The Runaways … she will portray Cherie Currie. As you may or may not know, The Runaways was Joan Jett’s first band (formed in the 1970’s) and also included bandmembers Lita Ford (portrayed by Alessandra Torresani in the new biopic), Sandy West, Jackie Fox and others. I’m not sure how long Kristen will be working on The Runaways before she has to get back to work on The Twilight Saga: New Moon….
