Bryce Dallas Howard to replace Rachelle Lefevre in Eclipse
Bryce Dallas Howard will be replacing Canadian actress, Rachelle Lefevre to take on the role of Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Erik Feig, president of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions for Summit Entertainment stated on Tuesday that they are happy that “Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise”. “Rachelle brought ‘Victoria’ to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.” Lefevre will not reprise her role of Victoria in Eclipse for scheduling conflicts with ‘Barney’s Version’. Filming for both the movies starts in August 2009. Bryce Dallas Howard Victoria is a nomadic vampire and was a member of James’ small coven, along with Laurent. In Eclipse, Victoria creates an army of bloodthirsty newborn vampires in Seattle to rise up against the combined forces of the werewolves and Cullen family. Bryce Dallas Howard is best known for her film roles in the Manderlay, Terminator Salvation, Spider-Man 3 and M. Night Shyamalan-directed The Village and Lady in the Water. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2008 in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for ‘As You Like It’.
