This is still the best logo of all time in any sport. Pat Patriot. A true symbol of a football team. Though he was retired as the face of the Patriots, he lives on in vintage apparel and souvenirs.
Thankfully, he will make four appearances on the helmet this season and is a part of the 50th anniversary logo that likely will be on every player’s jersey this season as New England celebrates the anniversary of the franchise.
While many still love Pat (over the Flying Elvis), some of us don’t fully know the history of Pat Patriot. Fortunately The Boston Herald wrote a nice article about the history of Pat Patriot and how he lives on. I encourage everyone to take the time to go and read it.
