Miso and radiation poisoning

From Marilyn Noyes:

Mark, do you know about the power of miso in combating radiation poisoning?

:

“At the time of the atomic bombing, Tatsuichiro Akizuki, M.D. was Director of the Department
of Internal Medicine at St. Francis’s Hospital in Nagasaki and he fed his staff and patients a
strict diet of brown rice, miso and tamari soy soup, wakame, kombu and other seaweed,
Hokkaido pumpkin, and sea salt. He also prohibited the consumption of sugar and sweets since
they suppress the immune system.”

Here’s more about Dr. Akisuki. Though you’d find it interesting:

By the way, when you sent out the first emailing about soy, I was sitting at the computer eating
soy nuts. I used to eat a lot more than I do now. I know Dr. Mercola’s been down on soy for a
long time.

Do me a favor…if you find something saying sunflower seeds are bad for us, don’t send it.
It would break my heart.

Thanks for all you do,
Marilyn
