Stavridis Becomes First Admiral to Head NATO Military Operations

WASHINGTON, July 2, 2009 – Navy Adm. James Stavridis today became NATO’s supreme allied commander for Europe, assuming command of allied command operations from retiring Army Gen. Bantz J. Craddock.
