Teens4aCause: Monica’s Mission

By • on July 9, 2009

Hi everyone, I’m Monica Healy, 15 years old  from Toronto, Canada. In May I launched www.teens4acause.com.
I have had a dream since I was a little girl to help other kids suffering. I was in an accident when I was little and spent time in the hospital.

Being in a hospital to any kid and even adults can be scary. When I got well and went home I knew that one day I wanted to somehow help other kids.

I launched Teens4ACause.com with the help of my dad, Mark Healy and his  business associate who is a publicist and president of KBC Media  in NYC, Karen Ammond.

Together they helped make my dream come true.

My goal is to raise 1 Million Dollars for two charities:

-National Children’s Leukemia Foundations – Based in NYC
- The Sick Kids Foundation in Toronto.

After I raise the 1 million dollars I hope to take on other causes for kids around the world. But as my dad said, Babysteps!

I am looking forward to any help I can get from kids, teens and adults. Please visit the website and  email any ideas you may have.
