Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 11/25/09

Before we get started, check out this week’s fantasy basketball roundtable ( click to read the article ). Now, here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night. Amir Johnson, Toronto Raptors 23 MIN, 13 PTS, 6-9 FG, 1-3 FT, 8 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 3 BLK, 1 TO Amir has his moments, but it will take an injury to give him fantasy value. Jason Kapono, Philadelphia 76ers 29 MIN, 20 PTS, 8-11 FG, 4 3PM, 1 REB, 1 AST Kapono played more minutes because Lou Williams (fractured  jaw) and Elton Brand (hamstring) were out. He’ll continue to see an increase in these two remain sidelined. Jrue Holiday is the better pickup though. James Jones, Miami Heat 30 MIN, 16 PTS, 4-7 FG, 4-4 FT, 4 3PM, 4 REB, 1 AST Jones has played more over that past three games, but this is the first time he produced. I’d want to see more from him before thinking about adding him. Jason Williams, Orlando Magic 39 MIN, 25 PTS, 9-12 FG, 3-5 FG, 4 3PM, 3 REB, 8 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO Williams had a monster game against his former team. He’s starting to get his groove with 16 points and 6.3 assists over his past three games. Luke Ridnour, Milwaukee Bucks 43 MIN, 23 PTS, 9-15 FG, 4-4 FT, 1 3PM, 7 REB, 10 AST, 1 TO Ridnour put up another big game. He’s been sporatic, but is capable of putting up solid numbers. Hakim Warrick, Milwaukee Bucks 33 MIN, 22 PTS, 9-15 FG, 4-7 FT, 10 REB, 1 STL, 3 TO Warrick should continue to put up solid numbers the next couple of weeks with Andrew Bogut out. Darren Collison, New Orleans Hornets 37 MIN, 18 PTS, 5-12 FG, 7-8 FT, 1 3PM, 7 REB, 8 AST, 2 STL, 5 TO Collison continues to shine while Chris Paul is out. Corey Brewer, Minnesota Timberwolves 29 MIN, 22 PTS, 10-18 FG, 2-6 FT, 13 REB, 4 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK Monster game for Brew. Even though he’s inconsistent, he’s worth having on your roster. Ryan Hollins, Minnesota Timberwolves 22 MIN, 19 PTS, 8-9 FG, 3-5 FT, 3 REB, 1 TO Nice game for Hollins, but it was only his second double-digit game of the year. Tim Thomas, Dallas Mavericks 25 MIN, 23 PTS, 9-13 FG, 1-1 FT, 4 3PM, 4 REB, 3 AST, 3 STL, 1 BLK, 3 TO The Mavs are hurting in the frontcourt, so Thomas has a chance to put up solid numbers, though this performance could be a high water mark. Roger Mason, San Antonio Spurs 26 MIN, 17 PTS, 7-10 FG, 1-2 FT, 2 3PM, 6 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL, 2 TO Mason has hit double-digits in four straight games, and is a solid option while Manu Ginobili is out. Sam  Young, Memphis Grizzlies 29 MIN, 14 PTS, 6-12 FG, 2-3 FT, 7 REB, 1 TO Memphis played Phoenix so don’t put too much stock in this performance. Nate Robinson, New York Knicks 36 MIN, 25 PTS, 10-16 FG, 1-1 FT, 4 3PM, 2 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL, 3 TO It seems his benching for shooting at his own basket was heard loud and clear. He’s averaged 19.7 points in the three games after the incident. Donte Greene, Sacramento Kings 35 MIN, 24 PTS, 9-13 FG, 6 3PM, 4 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL, 6 BLK, 5 TO Now it was Beno Udrih to miss a game. As short-handed as they are, he’s definitely worth adding.
