Gates Pledges Mine-resistant Vehicles to Allies

ISTANBUL, Feb. 5, 2010 – Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates today pledged surplus mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles along with expanded access to classified information to U.S. allies to help in combating the threat of improvised explosive devices in Afghanistan.
