My Chemical Romance scooped two trophies at tonight’s (23.02.11) NME Awards

The US rockers were the biggest winners, taking home Best International Band and ‘Best Video’ for their track ‘Na Na Na’ at the British Magazine’s annual ceremony. Muse were named Best British band, while Arcade Fire took home Best Album for ‘The Suburbs’ at the event, held at London’s Brixton Academy.

My Chemical Romance – who opened the show with a rendition of ‘Na Na Na’ – were greeted by fans who had camped out overnight in the hope of meeting them. After accepting their two trophies, frontman Gerard Way said: “When the fans vote on something it’s amazing.
