Lynn: U.S. Must Preserve Its Defense Industrial Base

NEW YORK, May 12, 2011 – Competition, a global defense market and targeted research and development spending will be critical in preserving the nation’s defense industrial base during the slowdown in Pentagon spending, Deputy Defense Secretary William J. Lynn III said here last night.
